Building a Better Food Future
Better Food Traders represents and promotes a UK-wide network of locally rooted food traders who are putting people and planet first.
Whether it’s providing training and connections for our members to grow; working with local authorities and influencing national food policy; or running public campaigns that reconnect people with where their food comes from, our work spans the main levers of support for food system change.
Our strategy has three strands:
Member building
Training, peer-learning, business advice and online resources to help food enterprises grow and stay viable.
Market building
Creating more routes to market for sustainable producers and more places for people to find sustainably grown food, often working with local and national governments.
Movement building
Campaigns, policy work and public awareness to grow the better food movement and shift what people expect from their food system.
