Established in 2013 by Laura Jayne Burlison, The Paddock is a family run fruit & veg box scheme, farm shop & smallholding specialising in organic & environmentally friendly local produce, sustainable home & lifestyle options with ethics at the heart of everything we do. Laura & Mike run The Paddock together with help from Laura’s Mam Denise, Dad Bob & Brother James.
The Paddock Farm Shop is a zero waste shop stocking a huge range of almost 1000 organic & local products, with minimal plastic packaging, a refill system for eco friendly household products and a plastic free pantry of organic dried foods which can be bought loose by weight with no plastic packaging.
We work with organic, independent farms both locally and from across the UK as well as a selection of small scale, local producers to bring you a carefully selected range of ethical produce. The Paddock has been inspired by our family smallholding, named The Paddock, based on the beautiful Northumberland border.
From 1st Oct 22, we will be working in partnership with The Organic Pantry to operate our delivery service. The Organic Pantry are a certified organic, family run farm near Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. Together we can deliver a carefully selected range of ethical produce direct to your door.
At our smallholding, we grow as much as we can and supply free range eggs from our own happy hens, Laura’s Layers. Everything is grown organically but we are not certified organic, however we are very proud to sell organic produce. Find our home grown produce in our farm shop.
The Paddock holds a 5* food hygiene rating with Gateshead Council.
