Glenkens Food Hub is a Producer Led Online Farmer’s Market Place offering a hyper local, food chain solution. Our aim is to enable access of Good Food: healthy for people and planet, from local producers to local communities.
The Food Hub benefits the local community through increased health and wellbeing, by reducing social isolation, and putting more money back Into the local economy. We also aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions present in long, global supply chains by shortening them. The fundamental principle which underpins this is food sovereignty – enabling Producers and Communities to take control of their food systems.
Propagate Coordinates the Food Hub, supports Producers, and organises events that help promote Food Hub activity.
