Fellows Farm, a part of the East London artisan bakery e5 Bakehouse, is a 70 acre organically certified farm in Suffolk, which is in 2 locations 15 minutes apart. We run a diversity of projects including a bakery, weaving studio, vineyard, campsite, market garden and veg scheme.
You can now sign up for a weekly selection of Fellows Farm’s best market garden vegetables. They’ll be harvested and delivered to e5Bakehouse & e5PoplarBakehouse in London on Tuesdays and various pick-up points in Suffolk on Saturdays.
We are committed to organic and regenerative farming practices. The site for our market garden was conventionally farmed for more than 100 years and as a consequence the soil is compacted, has very little organic matter and lacks soil micro biota. We have focused on regenerating this soil by applying fermented plant teas, eliminating tillage and planting cover crops in rotation. We are passionate about seed sovereignty and source a diverse range of plant varieties.
We have one long term volunteer staying on the farm and also welcome local volunteers to join to learn about the methodologies employed in the organic and regenerative farming practices we use.
The farm site is off-grid, generating all its energy from 36 solar panels and its water coming from a 50m deep bore hole.
