How to run a local campaign
As sustainable food enterprises and independent businesses we are often faced with shocks – such as rent rises, or the risk of losing land or buildings – that threaten the future of our organisations. How do we plan and organise a campaign strategy to get what we need? How do you identify and influence your key target whether this is a local authority or private company and how do you build good relationships with key stakeholders in the longer term?
Join Kerry Rankine in this interactive and practical workshop that will give you the insights and tools to plan and run a campaign that harnesses the power of your local community.
About the trainer
Kerry set up and coordinates the Growing Communities farmers market (the first all organic market in the UK) and has worked closely with farmers and producers for over 20 years helping them establish routes to market. She also works on food policy issues for GC and established Growing Communities peri-urban farm in Dagenham. Prior to Growing Communities Kerry was a Greenpeace campaigner and then worked for the SAFE Alliance, (now Sustain).
